Are you interested in developing content and applications for mobile devices, but need to know more about the technology and opportunities? Then sign up for our free workshops for ICT and multimedia SMEs in the West Midlands.
We have created two workshops to bring you up to speed with the latest developments in mobile information delivery, and enable you to start providing mobile content and services.
The first workshop, on Jan 22nd 09, will give you an introduction to the issues, technology and opportunities. The second workshop, on Feb 5th 09, will deliver a set of practical tutorials and consultancy with mobile experts.
SMEs that create any production-ready content or applications after the workshops will also have a chance to compete for hosting space on Birmingham's Free Information Zone, where your work can be accessed for free by anyone in the city centre.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to move into the mobile sector. To book your place, please contact Alexa Torlo on 0121 204 98820121 204 9882 or alexa.torlo@bcu.ac.uk. For more information about the LUCID project, please see the main LUCID project site, or contact charlie.pinder@bcu.ac.uk.
These workshops form part of Birmingham City University's LUCID research project, funded by Advantage West Midlands as part of Birmingham's Science City project.
